Private Sessions
Why a one-on-one session?There are many different reasons to choose a one on one session over a group class. Most clients come to me for a tailored class to meet specific needs whether they are new to yoga or have been practicing for years.
For beginners, sometimes stepping into a large yoga class can be intimidating. The postures, the language, and the amount of people can all be quite overwhelming. In a private session, we work from where ever you happen to be in your practice. For others, it may be due to physical changes in the body: pregnancy, an injury, or a recent surgery. All of these changes require specific attention that may not be addressed in a group class. An individual session is also wonderful for people who may experience anxiety issues, depression, or post traumatic stress disorder. Depending on what it is you are going through, we can tailor the practice for optimum health. Specifically for individuals who have experienced trauma: the body tends to hold onto things, and as a result, certain postures and breathing practices may be extrememly uncomfortable and unsupportive. During a private session, we will specifically focus on what is best for you. Even though yoga is not a replacement for medical attention, I've found that a yoga practice can help increase the benefits of therapy. Package Rate: 4 sessions for $200 Semi-private session rates are dependent on the number of people. Please ask! |
